What do you use your 200-400 for?

Somebody's got to reply: "Taking photographs". Which certainly is a very helpful piece of advice. I shoot landscapes, and also enjoy low light action photography. I do some sports, but my kids have all grown, so not a lot. I shoot occasional wildlife, on vacation with my wife, "Quick, take that picture", and I respond, don't have the right lens for it. So, believe it or not, my wife has ordered me to get a lens to use for those times.... Still, how many of you have found that you only use the lens 1-3 times/ year (which suggests to me that renting, which I've done for other lenses would be more reasonable)? Thanks for your insight, and/or scathing, but piquant witticisms...
