Is Microsoft Even Listening about Windows 8?

I may be wrong, but I don't think Microsoft is that stupid.

All this that's going on right now, it's just being done to introduce their "Touch OS".

It's a lousy deal for people buying non-touch machines, but as some people in here will even tell you, you can use it (Win 8) as a non-touch desktop OS too.

But later, in 2014 or something, they'll refresh their desktop OS, and the touch stuff won't be forced on the user.

Plenty of people are using XP from, what ? 2001 ? 2000 ?

Win 7 is from 2009. That's the OS you want to be running on your desktop machine right now.
