I have two 5DII and a 60D and lenses from 8 to 500mm. Unbelieveable that the two newest bought on June 7 should be lemons. The NEX7 has been in service since Nov 7. Hey, maybe 7 is unlucky for me! Olympus and Sony have nice products but the way these cameras are set up is almost crazy. Why on earth would anyone set up cameras like that? The NEX7 doesn't have a mode dial for goodness sake. For several months the NEX7 disappointed me and I was ready to sell it for a loss. I finally figured out how to use focus peaking and what a blessing that is for shooting closeups of flowers and manual focussing. All cameras should have this feature.

The Olympus promised much but frustrates me enormously. I pride myself in being able to sort out computer and technical problems because cameras and computers are logical things. However, the people who put the software in the Oympus are bizarre. Surely they didn't collaborate with actual photographers! I swear the camera does stuff on its own. I want a certain aperture but it alters it just like that even in A mode. I say wtf is this. So I watch the settings like a hawk and keep changing them to what I set. Then the camera freezes and I can't press the shutter. I have to turn the camera off. This has happened twice now at parties when I was doing a group shot. Imagine how frustrating that is to keep everyone posed. Not once but more than once. I haven't tried to figure out the problem because I don't use the Olympus much any more. Almost a complete waste of over $3000 for the kit. I should have bought a Nikon D800 or even a 5DIII and stopped dreaming about this wannabe camera.
