Focus Bracketing

I'd like to see camera manufacturers to add focus bracketing to cameras with auto focus. That way, one could rapidly take a sequence of shots with selectable automatic focus variation, and later stack those shots to get greater DOF.
Seems like it would be reasonably easy to implement.
