5Dii vs everything else

This might sound a bit crazy but here goes. I've had a 5Dii now for 4 yrs, but I've been trying out other cameras. And since I usually shoot trees at a distance, my main test is to take a shot of an entire tree, using a tripod, f8, 50mm lens, then go to 100% and look at the detail on the smallest branches. Using that test, I've tried the Leica M9, S2, Hasselblad H4D 40 MP, 5Diii and the D800e and the 5Dii came out on top, surprising me greatly. The other cameras had capabilities which surpassed the 5Dii of course, but on my test, the 5Dii won. I had purchased the 5Diii & 800e but sent them back. The others were rented. Does that make sense to anybody?
