Here's a frame from a video I shot when a massive storm was heading straight toward me this past spring.  There were tornado warnings issued and the wind was blowing at hurricane strength - it was so fierce I had to hold the tripod to keep the camera from blowing over.  It started pouring right after I shot this.  We got hit with 6 inches of rain in about an hour and a pretty spectacular lightning show, but the downpour kept me from getting any more footage.  The thunder that followed was LOUD, the loudest I've ever heard and the compression rattled my fillings.  Its tough to judge distance, but that bolt hit less than a mile from where I was standing and was blindingly bright.
