OMD Front Control Dial Not Working
I just got my Olympus OMD EM-5 approx two months ago and I recently stumbled upon a malfunction with the front control dial.
As far as I can remember, while I was shooting figurines in a makeshift mini studio at home, the front dial started to become irresponsive or 'laggy': Usually each 'click' of the dial should change the value of my aperture by 1/3 stop, however, it takes a couple more 'clicks' to do so.
When I noticed this quirk I didnt bother too much about it, focusing instead on the shoot.
However, the problem worsened within several minutes later, when no matter how much the front dial is turned, nothing happens. I tried using the dial in other modes (P,A,S,M) and still it does not respond.
Even when common functions usually associated with the front dial (for example, cycling through different options for the selected item (ISO, WB, color profile, etc) in the control panel) didnt work. Even the Highlight curve in the Shadow/Hi-light feature does not work.
I tried turning the cam off, then on again, with batteries removed prior to turning back on. The problem remains.
Anyone else is having the same issue?
