Recent D800/E Purchasers - Status on Left Focus Issue

To clarify, I've tried and returned a number of D800s already.

My intent with posting this question it to try and assess the current state of the units being shipped, to the extent possible, to help me decide whether it is worth the time to try yet another unit.  In addition, I expect the responses will be useful for others who are also "on the fence" right now.

For those with RECENT purchase experience, you input is greatly appreciated!
