Yongnuo wireless flash trigger

Anyone in this forum has experience with the Yongnuo wireless flash transceiver for Canon Speedlite?

I would like to buy one that I can remotely trigger a 430EX flash, and has the ability to trigger more speedlites when I add more flash units in the future. Would the followings work? I have a 40D and 430EX. Does a transceiver means it can be put on the camera (transmit) and the flash unit (receive), in other words, I just buy one pair for the base set up for 1 remote flash?
