Offered without comment (almost)

OK, I know this is elevator photography and not street photography - but it is essentially a snapshot.

A real photojournalist would have, faced with a nothing picture, have done something to make the politician produce an interesting picture.

One of the things I was taught, as a photojournalist, was, faced with something that did not meet the needs of the 'shot' to ask the subject to do something that would make a picture. Nine times out of ten they will.

It is almost like being a text journalist and being frightened to ask questions.

Norman Parkinson had a saying that "Wimps don't take good photographs".
