Let's Give a Warm Welcome to Our New Mod, Mako!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed the little, white "Mod" beside Mako's name.   I'm grateful that DPR is finally implementing an active Moderator system, and even happier that they would choose someone like Mako to start out.

Mako is always first in line to help someone, and he usually knows what he is talking about.  The rare times he doesn't, he admits it, and then finds out!   Mako is even patient when people are rude, and blame him for their camera problems.   He just stays in there pitching, trying to diagnose and solve the problem.   When i asked why he kept trying, even with jerks, he answered that he hoped to help them, and if not, at least help some other guy reading the thread.   I have to admire that, and hope you do too.

I haven't always agreed with Mako, but I have always found him to be reasonable, fair, and willing to listen to all sides of an argument.   When you pair that with his ability to stay calm and pleasant with hostile people, I think you have defined the perfect Mod.

So I hope everyone will join me in welcoming Mako to his moderatorship, and will give him all the help and support you can as he gets used to being a moderator, and we get used to having a moderator.   Working together, we can make this a more pleasant place for all of us.

We are all hoping that this new, more public arena will encourage Mako to pay his model Lacie a more fair wage.  To date, she's been lucky when he threw her a bone.   There has been some talk of  banding together and sending poor Lacie a sort of combined Care Package and Christmas present as our way of thanking her for the long hours she has spent modelling, so that we could see photo examples of what Mako was trying to explain.   More on this later.

Best Wishes, Mako, and we are all behind you!
