The A99 is $2500 on the Sony EPP site which means that the price point is viable for Sony. The D600 with the lens for ~$2000 is an incredible deal esp given that it was just released.

The Sony EPP site also has the A37 with the 18-135mm lens for $539 which is ridiculous price with the ~$400 lens. Wonder if Sony's pricing is done by pulling numbers out of a hat ??.

Even if you dont qualify for EPP directly there is a "Ford" EPP PIN code floating around since the past two days for registering to the program. Not sure if there is anything "dubious" about it so will leave it to the enterprising members to find it for themselves.

I dont understand how Nikon is selling a brand new D600 for $2000, with $700 in accessories. How much is Sony charging them for the FF sensor?

If Nikon can sell the D600 for what equates to $1300+$600 lens+$100 microphone, surely Sony can sell the A99 for $2400-$2500 or so.

Also, there is a monster deal on a refurb D800 from adorama.
