X10 Ring adapter question

Personally I never use a UV filter. To protect against bumps ánd the sun, I use a rubber lenshood. It wil fold and make an elastic bumper. When folded it will not vignet when the X10 is set on '28'.

The only filter I use is the special Marumi DHG CP X10-filter. Its 40 mm thread seems to be cut a little bit deeper so it does not bind on the 40 mm thread of the X10...
