To New Zealand (D7000 images)



If someone had said to me just a month beforehand that I'd be packing up and jetting off to the South Island of New Zealand for a photography and hiking adventure, I would have said, "really?"

Really.

I started in Christchurch and essentially made a loop of the South Island that included such fetching places as Te Anau, Dunedin, Milford Sound, Queenstown, and Fox Glacier.  In a word: recommended!

Here are just a few of the images I captured during this most captivating of journeys.

I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see any hobbits along the way but I'll get over that.  I won't soon get over this trip, however.
