The camera has a finder just like your camera has a finder - it's optional for some, just not for you. Not for me either, not all the time anyway.

I was used to a VF on my old Nikon D70. That was supposed to be how photography worked. When I got my 5N, that changed my perceptions. I could flip the screen to be able to hold the camera down low or up above a crowd, etc. It just worked and I got used to it. The RX1 screen does not articulate and that's annoying to me. However, the screen on the RX1 is incredibly detailed and bright. I find it hard to use my 5N after using my RX1 because the 5N LCD seem quite old fashioned by comparison. I suspect the perfect camera for me might be the A99 from an LCD perspective if it is HD like the RX1. I don't want to go back to using a VF ever again.
