Nikon D800e

Picked up this beauty dec 4-2012, read the booklet and did some/a lot of research on this camera before i begin using it. I understand there is a proper technique to using this camera, Can someone point me in the right direction on how to technique this camera. I want to start of shooting properly with good habits. I have not actually taken anything  (dont want to fall into bad habits ).
