New Camera instead of Canon 40D and Canon Powershot G12

Hi!

I own 40D (mainly for it high FPS, AF), i like sports photos (kitesurfing, mountain biking),

but 40d is quite large to take it on MTB trip, so i was wondering about mirrorless camera.

I thought that new Canon M could be good (i could use existing lenses), but i see that AF is a distaster :/

What about m4/3 ? but then, i see that wide fast lenses are expensive :/

So maybe should i sell 40D and buy 650D ? (4-5fps, less noise than 40d, a little smaller)

and buy something like 17-50 2.8 Tamron lens ?
