2012, A quite year for Canon

It's about the end of 2012. I think this is a quiet year for most camera companies, except Nikon and Leica.

Nikon's 36mp DSLRs D800 and D800E are impressive. Another splash in my view is Leica's MM and M. After M9 turned the almost dead Leica back to life, the B&W only MM and the R+movie capable new M brings Leica back to the center of the photography again.

Overall I think the major innovations and technology in the camera and photography are still originated from the companies like Canon, Nikon, etc. But it seems the innovation stuffs are slowing down.
