SX50 Mini-Review Take Four - Different Paths to Up Close and Personal

Thank you so much, VisionLight, for your articles, and thank you to everyone else for their comments. I now know so much about a camera I do not yet own! If Santa finds me worthy, I'll be able to hit the ground running. Oh please Santa oh please please please  . . .

In the meantime, I've found that some of the tips and techniques learned here can be applied to the modest SX150IS that I've been playing with. I never thought of using the digital TC at full zoom instead of trying to get really close. I've traumatized a few small creatures by chasing them around at 5mm focal length. I shall now repent and change my ways - thank you all for showing me the way.
