You won't find a 35mm lens on the planet that renders bokeh much differently. I see the "busy bokeh" trope tossed around pretty often, and the fact of the matter is that it results from 3 facotrs: content of the background, proximity to the background, and focal length. These wide lenses all look like that under the same shooting conditions, and the Sigma is no different in this regard. What's remarkable is that every other IQ characteristic is decidedly superior to its competitors. That's something to think about. The jury's still out on durability and reliability, but on the IQ front Sigma has created a killer 35mm. Spin it however you want, but I don't know too many people who would pass on a lens with superior marks in every category due to this misguided perception of "busy bokeh"
