That is very soft, but the lens does sharpen up a great deal by f2.8.
Yeah, I'm shooting with a Canon 50mm f1.8 and it is sharper on the Q at f/8 than f/4. I don't get it. I sure wish we could shoot wide open. I don't see diffraction at small apertures being as much of a problem as not being able to use large apertures. F/2.8 should be plenty sharp, but it's barely acceptable. Argh!
