Question About Wide Angle Zoom Lens
|
I am not a pro, just a serious hobbyist.
In my camera bag I currently have my D7000, SB700 flash, with the 18-200 VRII lens, 35 1.8G and 50 1.8G.
I am traveling to Europe in 1 week and was interested in getting the Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED AF-S DX. I have never owned a wide angle zoom lens like this, but have heard that it makes a huge difference in landscapes, as I imagine it would.
Is it worth it for the $799 price? I would consider another brand, but I personally cannot stand the rotating focus ring motors of the Sigmas and Tamrons.
I currently use my 18-200 VRII as my walk-around, general outdoor lens and my 35 1.8G for indoor/ night and low light situtations, and my 50 1.8G for indoor portraits, or just portraits in general.
Thanks.
