100mm f/2 Makro Planar Zeiss For Landscapes?

I'm looking for a sharp 100mm lens for use on my D800 for landscapes. I'd like it to be sharp from corner to corner at f/4 or so and very very good flare/ghosting resistance. CA I can deal with in post.
Although expensive, is the Zeiss 100mm f/2 Makro Planar a good choice? If not what other lenses for my D800 would your suggest? AF is not a requirement.
Currently using 105/2.5 AIS which is OK in the sharpness department, but does not handle flare very well. I also have access to a 70-200/2.8VRII zoom (and soon to have the 70-200/4 VR), but many times I only want to work with a prime and sometimes size/weight are an issue which rules out the f/2.8 zooms . . .
Thanks for any suggestions.
