Next toy coming?

I think we can assume the K-01 line will evolve into something with an EVF, problem solved. As for the size factor, not everybody likes super small. I personally feel uncomfortable holding a camera where my fingers are bunched up like a spider on it's back. If you like that, buy a NEX. Pentax keeps their cameras on the medium side, but not microscopic.

As for the mirrorless talk, I agree there are some things that are good about live view. The thing is we already have it. I would ask pentax to improve the LV on their next releases, make it smoother. The K5 has a noticeable lag when panning, which also equates to a lag when manually focusing. More responsive, higher resolution LCD (similar to the higher end EVFs), all of a sudden I have a much larger EVF that I can look at with both eyes that works as good as any other eye level EVF. I personally would rather use an LCD when I needed that kind of view (for peaking for example), and keep my OVF for when I wanted it (fast panning, action ect), than only have one forever. Perhaps I am in the minority ? but I do not see any other advantage to dropping the mirror.
