California Road Trip Day 2 - San Xavier del Bac Mission

On the second day of our Thanksgiving week road trip Kathleen and I stopped at the Mission San xavier del Bac which is about 10 miles south of Tucson, AZ. The mission is also call 'The Dove of the Desert'. The mission was established in 1690 and the church building completed in 1797. It is an amazing structure both inside and outside. Kat and I were totally blown away by the sculptures and artworks inside the mission. Here are a few examples done with the SD1M and the 20 mm, 24-70 mm and 105 mm OS lenses.  The Mission is currently undergoing significant repair and restoration work that started in about 1978.
