LX7 - is this normal?
Dec 13, 2012

Just bought a used (but seemingly mint) LX7.

All seems fine except that I just noticed when taking some very quick test pictures indoors (daylight, no flash) if I have the aperture at say F5.6 or F8 then focus/take the picture as I remove my finger from the shutter button the LCD flashes white momentarily - the smaller the aperture, the brighter the flash. If I use F1.4 or F2 then I don't get this flashing on the LCD at all. The photos themselves seem fine whatever the aperture.

Before I contact the dealer (who is not local, unfortunately) can any other users confirm whether this is this normal on the LX7, and if so why please?

If the answer is in the detailed manual then I apologise, I haven't printed it out yet!

Thanks.
