I don't own the 75/1.8, but I own both the PL 25/1.4 and the Oly 45/1.8.  The 45 is only slightly slower to AF than the 25 in my experience.  Now, this is on an E-M5.  I was actually playing with the 45 on my wife's E-PM2 just last night and I did notice a couple times that it was searching around a bit for AF when I was taking pics of a poinsettia.  Of course, the top of the poinsettia doesn't have much contrast (almost solid red), but it was enough to get me second guessing myself as I write this response.

Generally speaking, on my E-M5, the 45 is a fantastic lens.  Sharp, fast AF with gorgeous bokeh.

I also own the Oly 60/2.8 macro and that lens is very slow to AF in low light.  I half remember reading somewhere that the 75 is on par with the 60 macro w.r.t. AF speed and if that's accurate, then the 45 is much faster and you'll like it from that perspective.

The 45 is also a great match for the E-PM2 size/weight wise.

But I think I'm with you - AF speed notwithstanding, I don't think the 75 is for me.  It's a bit too long for me to justify its hefty price.  The 45 is just about right for me for portraits.
