D5200 Vs D5100 which one to buy as 1st DSLR?

Simply put....

If you are advanced enough to extract the very small diffrences between the camera, you probably would not be asking us what to buy.

Get the D5100.

Invest in a bit better glass, or a tripod (if you need that for shooting), some classes or workshops,....etc.

Investing in the D5100 and the rest in yourself will give you a MUCH better return on your final product than the diffrences between these cameras.
