Question regarding 10-bit colour workflow
Dec 13, 2012

Hi, I'm a little confused with 10-bit colour profiles.

I'm thinking of getting the Hazro HZ27WBs monitor. It doesn't have any factory preset profiles such as the Dell u2711. Which means I wouldn't be able to view Windows 7 or other applications under sRGB colour space to give me a rough idea of what 8 bit colours look like. Will that affect web browsing or text editing at all?

My concern is that if I had a properly calibrated Hazro HZ27WBs for 10 bit colour workflow but if I didn't have a second 8-bit colour monitor. How do I know for sure that the sRGB profile in an exported lightroom photo will look okay?

Does this make sense? Just wondering if there are any disadvantages of working in a properly calibrated 10 bit colour workspace throughout all software applications?

I'm pretty sure there aren't any, but just want to know if not having an 8 bit sRGB.

Also, can anyone recommend a good all in one colour calibration tool that won't break the bank?

Thanks in advance,
