Negative Space

I feel the original is better for a few reasons. In both the new ones my eye gets kinda stuck on the boat, especially the first. It's a sole point of interest in what is in general quite a calm scene. In the original the sky is powerful enough to draw the eye away and let it explore the whole of the frame. The "grounding" of the boat in the first scene only makes this effect worse.

This is of course all IMO
