One thing about your DR measurements I think I should mention just in case: IIRC, the shots you used for the DR estimates you posted in an earlier thread had an aspect ratio of 3:2 rather than 4:3. I can see why. The target you need to shoot to use Bill's program is for obvious reasons designed for 3:2 rather than 4:3.

When Bill asked me to collect the data required to estimate the PDR of the E-M5, I turned to him for advice on how to proceed in this regard: Should I include parts of the white border surrounding the target or should I crop the target and if so how? His response was that I should crop and only use the upper left part of the target.

Now, I don't know if the way you proceed in this regard matters for the results at all. While I have a general idea of how Bill's program works, I never used it or considered all the ins and outs that might be involved. But since it might possibly matter, I thought I should mention it, in particular in view of the ongoing discussion about normalizing for the CoC.

Note, in addition, that the considerations might be different for Oly than for Pany cameras. On Olys (or at least the E-M5), the RAWs will be 4:3 no matter what aspect ratio you tell the camera to use, and I put that fact to Bill's attention when I asked for his advice. On Panys, it seems that only the 3:2 crop is actually included in the RAW file.
