Sony RX100 underexposing?

Hi,
my RX100 arrived yesterday and while I love the image quality I have a problem with the exposure. I just tested it on some indoor scenes and it seems to me that it always underexposes.
What's more, the automatic DRO does not seem to do anything in comparison to DRO turned off, while manually setting DRO to level 1 already makes the shadows lighter.
I'm wondering if this is normal or if my camera is defective.
I did a series of test shots and compared them with the same scene shot with the Fuji F31fd:
RX100 - iAuto - all settings default
RX100 - iAuto+ - all settings default
RX 100 - P-mode, no DRO, ISO800, all settings default except for white balance
RX100 - P-mode - Auto DRO, ISO800, all settings default except for white balance
RX100 - P-mode, DRO Level 2, ISO800, all settings default except white balance
RX100 - P-mode, DRO Level 3, ISO800, all settings default except white balance
Fuji F31fd - M-Mode, ISO800
