Re: Running towards us
In reply to Craig Philips, Dec 13, 2012

Craig, the lenses applied were, 17-50 (panning), 50-150, 120-300.

As far as panning is concerned, I set the speed in the range of 1/15, 1/20, 1/30, different speed yield different results, but I find 1/30s gives me a better output. ISO was set to 100 - 200

I have tried pre-focusing, and/or focus as the bulls were running. The aperture was set at F8 at least, F16 will be more ideal, the focusing point however were pointed to the bulls, in that case I would have the jockey well covered.

ISO was set to 100 - 200

The lighting fortunately was strong enough.

The lenses used were pretty much dependent on the track, the longer the track the longer the lens. Usually, the bulls will pick up momentum when they are mid-way and the splash will be at the max, that's the best time.

I have been there many times, the shooting experience were totally awesome!

I hope I have answered your questions.
