The jpegs respond differently in different applications. It is indeed bizarre.
So does every other cam's jpegs with different applications. What is truly bizarre is you, in spite of all of your cameras, do not know this. It's the same with raw by the way. Those of us that actually shoot and do post understand these things.
To the OP, if you want to understand color bleeding, go here (http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/5244173059/photos/2249596/p9256202) and check out the greens. Compared to your posted shots, it's far worst. Bleeding happens. Colors can vary, cams can vary, post processing apps can vary but it happens.
Jpegs from any other camera look identical across a range of colour managed and gamma aware applications. The Fujis change. It is as if the applications do not know how to deal with them.
1. This is nonsense. A JPEG is a JPEG. Any differences will be down to the monitor. More saturated images will have MORE differences, but most don't have a "velvia" setting in JPEG.
2. I don't have the issue and neither does any rational person who doesn't waste his afternoons trolling about this camera.
I am beginning to wonder if they are suitable for displaying on monitors.
