Customer Service Issues at Adorama

No, this wasn't quite that. I have a lot of sympathy for retailers, as customers can be very trying (some employers can be trying as well, adding to their stress). And individual employees can have their bad days, some employees take time to train (some get it, some get it eventually, some never do).

I wouldn't write to rant about this out of the blue, and this isn't really a rant. But reading this topic it brought to mind why I choose to boycott Adorama. I ignored the past things noticed and shopped there on and off for a good many years. I stopped in other stores (47th, B&H, 17th and the like) about that period looking for the same filter, and I was told right off the bat that it wasn't in stock. I was asked if I would be interested in a substitute - and would respond with appreciation for asking but I wasn't interested. I appreciated the respect for that approach, and for not wasting my time. If I wasn't clear and specific about what I wanted, that would have been another matter.
