I went to what I think was your first message in this thread with samples attached. 12 messages from the top.

I right clicked on a picture and then clicked on copy

I opened Elements, and then opened Edit. (my other choice being Organizer)

At the top of the Edit screen there's a File heading.

Under File (hidden) is a command New from clipboard.

I clicked on that, and your photo opens in Photoshop Elements as a jpg

That JPG then reacts to all the other controls and settings in Elements.

Then I went back and right clicked on more of your samples, and then used New from Clipboard to see them in Elements.

I cannot for the life of me think why anyone would try to open your jpeg images as RAW files. Maybe I wiill be enlightened.

I've wondered this myself.  Why are some people opening/converting these images to RAW before attempting to fix them as opposed to just opening them as JPEG's.   One of the persons in the threads used Irfanview to adjust the settings.  They simply brought those images in as JPEG's, adjusted the settings, and re-saved them as JPEG's.

So there must be some additional reasons why some people are bringing those photos in as RAW into Photoshop/Elements or Lightroom.
