I've purchased the most recent version of this lens for nature photography on my OMD. I have to say I am really amazed by the optical quality - I shoot professionally for a living and this little lens is close to my pro glass in sharpness and colour throughout the zoom and aperture range, yet is cheap and light. I think it's a gem. My first shots with it can be seen here: http://lindsaydobsonphotography.com/pets/animal-photographer-west-sussex/
I only have it for a day now (the -R- version), and the test snapshots I did on my lunch hour yesterday, convinced me that it was a good value lens.
Noise only increasingly apparent when lighting is fair to marginal. In good lighting I was really surprised by the quality for the price.
