Newby trying to decide which DSLR to keep (T4i or D600)

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to the DSLR world, and managed to get a promotional deal on Nikon D600 w/ 18-24mm lens for $2000.

I am seeing many great deals popping up for Canon T4i w/18-135 stm lens (can be had for $750), and wondering if its worth it for me to pay so much more for D600.

I understand that D600 is a full frame, making it much more pricier...but being a beginner i am not sure i will be taking advantage of fx format.  I need a camera for general use (taking pics of my newborn) and also for shooting music videos.

Please let me know what you guys think and which one i should keep. I feel like the D600 is more future proof even at this cost, and I would be able to make most of my $ back if i decided to sell it for whatever reason in a few years. Thoughts?
