NEX 6? Any downsides?

Most of the people here appear to have no idea that the standard kit lens for the NEX-6 is a very compact 16-50. The much larger 18-55 is kitted on the last generation of NEX and some NEX-5Rs (going at very good prices by the way). Here is the NEX-6 side-by-side with all the other comparable EVF-in-built mirrorless cameras. Here with their standard all-in-one superzoom attached. Size is really not the issue here.

In terms of lens choice, the system with the most lenses is m4/3, followed by NEX, then Fuji and Samsung, then Pentax Q, then Nikon 1, then Canon EOS-M. M4/3 has first mover advantage but NEX and FujiX are rapidly closing the gap. Both already have more lenses than you are likely to want to buy.
