Does anyone know if the AF Illuminator on the Metz AF-1 works with Olympus and/or Panasonic M4/3 cameras?
I have a Nissin Di466 and the illuminator on that doesn't work with my cameras...
because for CDAF you need uninterrupted light to fill a spot and not strobes and not PDAF pattern
However, the focus assist light on the flashes (as opposed to what the cameras do with the pop-up flash) in classical 4/3rds is uninterrupted light. However, it is a red light with cross hairs so the camera can find the contrast. I believe the FL-600R's focus assist light is white (since it doubles as a video light).
