I've never done much in the way of long exposures, but for the hell of it I just tried a few in my back yard to see what would happen. Just used a table top tripod with the 12-35 lens. I turned off dark frame subtraction....

I remember reading something about a heatsink as well. It got me thinking, would it be possible to attach a thermo-electric cooling unit to that heatsink to get the sensor below ambient temperature without much fuss? Now THAT would make this camera get noticed in the AP world.
