Very pleasing effect, I have not visited time lapse for years

I just bought the D800 and 16-35 for my wife Alenka yesterday and am nowhere near (either of us) having dipped our toes into its potential, this inspires me to read the manual , I noticed the time lapse option in the menu but did not think or realise it could be used with the video

thanks for the heads up ,if I behave myself I may be allowed to use it too LOL

what lens would you recommend as a second purchase, we started off with the 16-35 as one of her main interests is landscapes but we both do a range of subjects from macro to birdingtrying to find an affordable birding lens  I am considering the Tamron 200-500 but cannot get feedback on it so far (posted some 8 hours or so ago)

regards from Tasmania (not quite as busy here in the hills as in Sydney)

Ron
