Is G5 charging battery via USB?

I just got the G5 and going on vacation tonight. USB charging would be a real plus when traveling. I could not find a reference in the manual but sometimes there are undocumented features, and USB charging is quite common. Does anyone have positive confirmation that the G5 is charging its battery when using USB?
