Vittorio - I haven't read all the responses, but the ones I have have logic in the 12/2 being redundant.

Yet I still feel as I've felt from the start, the question coming to mind over the past several days - unless strapped and needing to sell, I consider the lenses like paint brushes. Cross purposed in some ways, but each are well suited to particular objectives and the different manner in which one wishes to practice their strokes.

The 7-14 a choice for those pre-visualized wide-scapes where flare will not be confounding; the 12-35 for just going out there to see what comes, with nothing particular in mind; the 12/2 to stand in for either when flare is a bother for either (using a simple pano rig if wider angle is necessary), or for the whim to go smaller/lighter in low light. The last part there I know is a bit much, f2 and f2.8 not a great advantage. But the 12/2 is better wide open iirc, and when needing to stop down a click or three to get closer to the sweet spot of either, I feel that matters when light challenged on the run.

I won't argue that mindset isn't luxurious and excessive (I'd rather refer to it as 'fortunate', however). Just throwing it out there fwiw [shrug].
