I wasn't taking pot shots at you but some of the stuff you find on the web is so laughable. When they try an come up with new phrases like consumer compute then say Microsoft needs to recover again is laughable somehow because of windows 8 Microsoft has gone down hill. Microsoft is a software company and they do produce some phones and have a very small market share, but did they include sales of xbox and game software. Please, they are doing fine.

No, MS is not doing fine. Not even the MS management believe that.

Look at their 10 year stock price:

MSFT Chart

They've been in the doldrums for a long time.

And now the charge toward smartphones and tablets risks leaving them marginalized and irrelevant. Now, maybe they will turn things round but, right now, things are looking very sticky indeed for MS.

Apple going down after their visionary left. I don't see MS going anywhere, I see apple going down because even the dullest of Americans are seeing that tiny screens on a cell phone with slow 3g internet access is not that cool. That chart you produced shows the MS being flat for 10 years. And my point was, Windows 8 will not drive them into the ground, they are still here.
