Hi,
I was thinking that since the 6D is a single digit model like 7D and 5Ds, it is safe to predict that its refresh cycle would be about four years. Having said that, its safe to invest in this 6D knowing that there wont be a replacement for at least 3 years. Unlike the rebels. Am I right to think like this?
No one is going to know with certainty the answer to this question. Even Canon themselves likely do not know when a possible second model in the 6D line will come. I don't think it is safe to predict that its refresh cycle will be four years. It is a brand new model, only being released a bit over a week ago. If you are in the market for a DSLR and the 6D fits your needs then buy it.
There is no reason at this point to engage in conjecture about the future of the 6D line. It is anyone's guess besides those that work at Canon or have insider knowledge of the release schedule.
