I am not sure I understand about a SATA3 port being disabled if I choose to use the mSATA port.
Can I do this?
Use the mSATA port with a SSD for my boot drive.
Use the 2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors with (2) SATA3 internal hard drives and achieve SATA3 speeds on all three devices.
