Spot metering on D800 movable?

Hi,

I've been lurking here a while, but since I finally bought a D800 I figured I might as well go all the way and sign up.

Probably an obvious question (I'm figuring the answer is no) but I haven't been able to find a clear explanation: is the spot meter function locked in place, right in the middle, or can it be re-positioned - like autofocus?
