Sorry, but in this pic I can really not see the watercolor effect. What i can see is a sharp coin in focus and a blurred background due to DOF. The watercolorissue is something complete different.

It's definitely there, if you magnify to 100%. But it's not very important on that background, for sure. My only reason for pointing it out was to show how ubiquitous it is, but many people don't notice it. I think it's more of a problem if the background is something with a natural texture, like wood bark on macro shots, or more distant foliage etc.
