6D owners: How does the 6D AF compare to the 40D?

I sold my 40D two weeks ago, and only have had the 6D for a few days. But it feels that the 40D is quicker to lock focus in dim light. This is more with all AF points selected and with outer points, but also with just the center point.

I assume that the 6D can focus in lower light with the center point than the 40D.

While the 40D might be better at action the 6D has great high ISO, great video and the photos are coming out really well.
